PAMCo 3 2018 Data
(July ’17 – June ’18)

Good Morning,

Our latest cross-platform audience readership figures, covering the period July 2017 to June 2018 (incorporating May 2018 comScore data), show that 90% of British adults consume magazines and newsbrands content each month.

Each new release of PAMCo data brings fresh insights to the market and in this release we are publishing new digital engagement metrics.

Simon Redican, Chief Executive of PAMCo said: “Whilst our latest release shows publishers continue to offer levels of reach comparable to the digital pure plays, our new engagement metrics data demonstrates the high levels of trust people have for magazine and newsbrand content and how highly they value & recognise that professionally provided content is unique and valuable”.

All results are embargoed until 00:01am on the 17th September. This means that the data should not be publicly commented on until after the embargo has been lifted and data released to the wider market.

Digital Attitude Statements

From this data release, we are publishing digital attitude statements data. These are data based on the digital sites people claim to visit often in the interview, rather than the comScore audience estimates integrated within PAMCo which will include a much broader audience of occasional and infrequent visitors.

For the purpose of analysis these figures should not be overlaid on any other digital data within the PAMCo dataset. Therefore, the PAMCo Technical Group have concluded that this data should be published in static form only and will not be available in the planning bureaux. Please click this link to view these tables or visit the subscribers section to access.

The print engagement data will be available as usual within the planning bureaux.

Non-comparability of data

Due to the different methodologies, the PAMCo Board have mandated that PAMCo data should not be compared with previous NRS data for commercial or marketing purposes.
